“We got to have peace, to keep the world alive. Will war ever cease?” – Curtis Mayfield
Many people today look forward, in hope, to a better chapter for humanity and our beautiful world. Some may base their hope on science, others in psychological change, and others in spiritual guidance or cultural evolution. I see we may be able to utilize all of these fields to assist our progress towards this goal.
Whichever way people personally are able to envision this change within the world, it is clear that we will have to find a way to make it work together. In a time such as ours, 2025, it is understandable that some have bought into the idea that it is beyond our current ability. Yet, despite the previous mindset, and the differences that we may have inherited from the past, our joy is held in making tangible progress towards a different level of harmony.
As the big institutions continue to compete for status and security, most people are content to see society take a practical step in improving the lives of those within their families and communities. It is this facet of human nature that can help us to focus our priorities. Then we may quickly assist the largest number of people as possible to embrace the potential for us to build a satisfying and fulfilling society together. As we move together as an educated and sane society, in harmony we can orchestrate our moves with each other and with nature.
I hope we can inspire each other to hold that vision. Then we can start to take real action on seeing this fresh chapter of our story begin. I hope, in time, to gather the resources to form a gallery where many can showcase their visions and inspirations for a new kind of earth and a different kind of civilization. While I work to gather the resources for this aim, I will keep trying to promote useful ideas and nurture optimism that can further awaken innate human excellence so we can achieve this goal.
The concept of utopia is often talked about in terms that seem far from the practical lives of real people today. It is more fashionable and profitable to make art about dystopian fantasies, which seem to resonate with the youth as more familiar and accessible. In our time, we have a real choice about where we focus. We have a choice to seek drama or to enjoy harmony. I don’t hope to deny the facts of our times, or get lost in deluding ourselves about the challenges we face. I hope we can take a balanced view to gain objectivity for our plans of a better world we would like to see together. This will allow us to withdraw investment in things that might limit our steps towards such positive changes.
In a new chapter for Earth, the first steps may be to genuinely sense that we have made a definite change in direction. The malaise of momentum, enforced by obsolete institutions and structures, can then be seen clearly. Just as we may decide to re-invent a certain area of our own life, or even our whole life, we can take this exciting challenge on together. A new chapter for our world would be able to build upon the many great works towards this change that have been made by previous generations. In tribute to their efforts, and in honour for the gift of their hopes for us, we can redirect our focus to glorifying the new days to come.
Just as many often say that the kingdom of heaven is within, an internal change is a key to us making the first move. To believe we can do it, to have faith that this goal will come to us if we try, will give us the best chance to get there. To say it isn’t worth trying or impossible for humanity to solve these issues, is to sabotage the process before it can even begin. If someone talks in negative terms about a change towards peace, it is with patience that they must be supported.
The introduction of a new idea, can be a challenging pain for the human mind. This pain can be compounded if someone has sunk significant effort, and time, into an alternative. Yet, from an inner sense of balance and joy, we can be excited to share with our personal visions of the world elevated to a superior form. I hope many more will join us in dreaming earnestly for a peaceful world that we can share together, then taking that first step together will be easy.
