The Kingdom of Heaven is in the constant work of ensuring eternal life and hope. The Angels of Heaven have weaved the process of justice within the same chapters as injustice. Otherwise, when can Earth meet a time where a “New Jerusalem” can arrive? Surely we all hope the children of future generations will finally be free to walk unencumbered by the sins of the past. If faith has true value, Heaven is tasked with the mission to see the manifestation of a “New Creation”.
What does a “New Heaven and New Earth” cost? Can the price itself be sculptured and framed into the scaffolding and utilities that support the needed wisdom so we can walk together into a better time? All cultural pride and personal superiority may be a hinderance in such an age. How far are we from glimpsing such a way within ourselves, our families, and even our broader cultures?
As bad as the history of modern Europe is, for example, perhaps it is the energetic price that is paid to preserve some indigenous cultures. The regrets and shame of one place and time may illustrate the counterweight of Heaven’s needed balance. Lest we never find a way for a new day to dawn, where a new understanding and superior practical wisdom can reach us all personally. The past, when seen soberly, seems a kind of hell. We may be in the nature of finding nostalgia and appreciation, however the struggles were surely not what we would wish upon our children or future life.
The villains of yesterday are truly hard to comprehend. In the balance of justice, we may have even tasked Angels with some terrible assignments for our long term salvation and the sanctity of another new day. It’s a sobering thought. If we cast a rock, then the age of ‘an eye for an eye’ may cast one right back. From a higher perspective, the implications can produce existential nausea. Yet, what will we do with such an insight? Make ourselves sicker and act to prolong healing? Or will we consider change so that a different outcome can become clearer to our view?
Who can say they truly know the minds of Angels or even the Masters, not to mention approaching the Most High? Our human days, within time, must appear quite different to their view. Faith may often be spoken of in terms of knowing things that are not yet experienced, yet it is also just as much established upon the acknowledgement of a higher level within the hierarchy of all things. This is our world, and this is our history. Can we reach our hearts up higher, to walk as co-workers for liberation and investors in that day of grace to come?
The history of the world is like a book, in a sense, filled with the living stories of our blood. Surely all great traditions and established communities have many principles and proverbs in common. The great value Heaven places on our future, is etched in the lengths they have taken to establish the balance needed for a New Earth. Let us reflect humbly on the stories of life, then we truly can walk a wiser path together. Then, in gratitude, we can realize the work done in the past on our behalf. Into the future we walk, may we embrace the gift of their hard won progress. Those ancestors and angels surely urge us to make the very most of their efforts for the benefit of future days. May they have every reason to hold us dear again.
