Which forces press upon us?
Socrates was considered most wise,
As he knew he must be ignorant.
The true meaning of humanity is a mystery.
The universe holds the world,
And moves even within us.
How do we relate to All,
And what might our relationships with each-other reflect?
Sometimes, the pain of life is baffling.
The layers of causes are impossible to see.
We hear about Love and Forgiveness.
We see much in life to prove their worth.
Gratitude fuels our dedication to persist with them.
Life is a Great Teacher,
And by Love and Forgiveness we hope to show our learning.
The forces that move us are now more complicated than ever.
The meaning of our lives is also confusing.
As the universe moves beyond the human condition,
We remember our struggles in a different view.
The balance of all things suddenly appears much larger,
So our efforts can sometimes feel irrelevant.
Our ignorance is more familiar,
Which ensures holding onto Love is our main priority.
Despite the mystery of our human story,
We are tested in our lives.
Humanity disappoints many when they reflect on things.
Yet each day is a chance for us to ace this test.
By Mercy and Forgiveness our growth matures.
By loving despite the past, we nurture potential.
Why Love when some have moved so reckless?
It takes Faith, to Love again after that.
The door that Faith opens within You,
Is quite similar to the one Love opens outside of us.
Without them, we are like a closed system.
With them, the mystery of our ignorance,
Becomes the invitation for grace and miracles to move.
Whatever it is that humanity represents,
I pray it works out for You.
Our lessons well learned,
Will prove valuable in our unity.
However it is that heaven or science may frame us,
May it be for constructive aims.
Then all of our human efforts become honored.
Then we will be inspired by higher examples, also.
All of our struggles could be dignified by stepping into a better system.
Like awakening from a dream, we could employ our new wisdom together.
Such a time would feel incomplete,
If any of us were missing.
So I expect all might stand there.
I will be looking for You, too.
Our Love might strengthen that place.
Our Faith might draw it nearer.
Then the forces upon us are just the foundation upon which we met.
Then our struggles are shared with dignity.
No judgment has authority without Love,
So mercy must always guide our course, too.
