In the bloodlines of prophecy and sacred records, the justification for position and authority are established and entrenched. Yet, in the lives of our lost uncles, the majority of the world’s labour and struggle have occurred. Within their paths, there is a tremendous momentum of awaited inheritance moving. Did they labour for nothing? Surely not! Surely their siblings, nephews and nieces won’t forget their efforts.
Did they work only for themselves, those who were not so prominent in the exclusive records of status, maintained for prominence? They struggled and toiled for their families and hoped the best for all the children of generations to come. In the history of our people, is there a more direct form of destiny control than that of blocking, delaying or altering the chances to have children in the next generation? Did some hope to benefit from diminishing the image of distant family, within the eyes of the young?
Rather than work for unity or shared abundance, unfortunately our world has a history of family dominating family, even when closely linked, just so status or prestige might be to be increased. Into obscurity many have surrendered their efforts at the end of their lives, in faith that the times ahead will somehow remember them. Surely even if heaven forgets them, their families will sing of their efforts.
Where I’m from, sometimes people say “Bob’s your uncle” to express that someone has good luck. Whether it’s Bob Marley, the T-800 using Uncle Bob as an alias, or even Bob Dobbs of the Church of the Sub-Genius, may you always have a Bob as your uncle. Even if the prophecies are carried by those few titans of fame, beyond the limelight I pray all those well meaning ones are well remembered and rewarded for the part they have played in the saga of our world. May Furfur’s success embolden their steps!
