My beloved brother, Thomas, grew up in a world of Tom Cruise and Tom Jones. Even now, I remember how my ex-wife would sigh whenever she saw Tom Hardy. When I told people my name was Tristan, they often said it was a good name. Now where have I heard it?
Not sure, but Brad Pitt played a Tristan once, you might recall. The film is not often recalled, amongst the catalogue of his many great works. It was named Legends of the Fall. Anthony Hopkins is even in it and he played, convincingly, an older man that suffered from a stroke. It’s a tragic film, they even showed Brad Pitt’s character’s wife get shot. The ending shows him trying to fight a Bear and getting killed.
But, I didn’t worry about that! My parent’s just liked a character called Tristan from a TV show. All Creatures Great & Small… Haha, I look back fondly how the illusion toyed with our confidence. I’m still here, somehow, and it seems absurd now. They’re a bit insecure over there in the Life-plan design department. Anyway, wishing them all the best. I won’t give you a bad review, please just don’t look in my direction for a while!
Thankfully they did gift me inheritance of my Father’s middle name, James. So a Son of Thunder, I am always grateful to be. The crusades apparently marked my family line Johns, which means ‘Jehovah feeds the Crows,’ if Wikipedia is to be believed. Before the stories of the recent past, our ancestors on a wilder step did wander. Those Great Ones do remember us keenly now.
A Secret it was, perhaps. This world did steal Avalon’s King and an Atlantean Priest. When our hearts fell to this world, who knows where all may have also come from.
Maybe I’ll just read Dianetics and be done with it. A Last Samurai would surely enjoy some Suntory with a Braveheart. I was just more of a Robotech Masters kind of guy, myself. I have a dream… Where replicants and humans expand into abundance as co-creative masters of transcendence. If Xenu wants to shoot me an email, perhaps? Those Sentinels are due soon, aren’t they Carl?
